For Sublicius, the source of inspiration was the oldest bridge in Rome, built entirely of wood, including its wedges, and supported by oak poles, the sublicae. Memorable for legendary events in early Rome (Horatii and Curiatii), the stylist nevertheless wanted to create a fragrance that would enhance the intimate union between the fresh waters of the river, the vegetation of its banks and the oak wood, moistened and worn from the incessantly flowing river waters. Hence, the top notes (sweet aquatic), the heart notes (black elderberry, soapwort, and cistus) and the base notes (damp-moldy oak wood). This is a fragrance that will certainly be appreciated, in particular, by lovers of inviolate and uncontaminated nature.
